Audrey Schaditzki
The Wren is proud to welcome Audrey Schaditzki to our artisan collective. With porcelain as her medium, Audrey opened her ceramics studio in Montreuil six years ago after an intense immersion in craftsmanship through her CAP ceramics training with Grégoire Scalabre and Christophe Bonnard in Paris.
In her work, she is drawn to the idea of emptiness —not as absence, but as presence. She explores themes of erosion, fragility, and transformation, mirroring the delicate balance of our ecosystems and the impermanence of civilization itself.
Poetry in Porcelain
Working with porcelain, with its paradoxical nature of being both strong and fragile, becomes her form of meditation. She turns, hollows, and tears it, often pushing it to its breaking point, allowing the material to reveal its own limits and vulnerabilities.
Audrey’s approach is an ode to the raw authenticity of materials. She seeks to preserve the soul of the clay, allowing its natural hues and textures to remain untouched by enamel. The result is a radical honesty in form that evokes geological landscapes, mineral concretions, and the timeless forces of nature.
